This Privacy Statement describes Psybersquare's privacy and security practices for this Web site.

Psybersqure, Inc. respects your privacy. This web site has agreed to notify you of:
  1. What personally identifiable information of yours or third party personally identifiable information is collected from you through the web site
  2. The organization collecting the information

  4. With whom the information may be shared
  5. What choices are available to you regarding collection, use and distribution of the information

Your IP address

For each visitor to the Psybersquare site, Psybersquare's servers may (via WebTrends technology) automatically collect information about which pages are visited and the IP address or domain name (e.g., psybersquare.com) of visitors. Your IP address is used solely for the purpose of gathering broad demographic information. We do not utilize your IP information to mine the personal information of our users.

Registration

Our site's registration form may ask that you provide us with personally identifiable information, which includes contact information (like your name, email address, address, and age). However, the only required information is the submission of your email address. We use your contact information from the registration form to send you information about our company. You may opt out of receiving such information at the time of registration, and you may opt out later by sending us an email (see the "Opt-Out Procedures" section below.) We do not disclose any unique identifiers to any third parties.

Demographic and profile data

We also may collect demographic and profile data from you as part of the registration process (i.e., your ZIP code, sex, income level, interest in certain topics). We use this data to better understand the demographic composition of our user-base. Psybersquare may disclose account information in special cases:

Psybersquare is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites, including any sites that may indicate a special relationship or partnership with Psybersquare (such as co-branded pages and "powered by" relationships) or the sites of Psybersquare advertisers that you go to by clicking on a banner ad on the Psybersquare site. Psybersquare does not disclose unique identifiers to those responsible for the linked sites. The linked sites, however, may collect personal information from you that is not subject to Psybersquare's control. Advertisements

We participate in several internet affiliate programs to display the advertisements on our site. These ads may contain cookies. While we may use cookies in other parts of the Psybersquare site, cookies received with banner ads are collected by our individual affiliate partners, and we do not have access to this information, nor do we control its use. Psybersquare does not provide any personally identifiable data regarding Psybersquare users to our affiliate partners.

Public Forums

Psybersquare may make chat rooms, forums, message boards, and other interactive features available to you. Please remember that, unless otherwise stated, any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information. Also note that the only information you must supply Psybersquare with in order to use our chat room is a username. This can be any name you are comfortable supplying. A real name (first or last) is NOT required for admission into the chat room. You should also be aware that dialogue in Psybersquare's chat rooms, forums, and message boards, and other interactive features is archived by Psybersquare and may be made available to Psybersquare users for an extended period after the date of the communication.

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Psybersquare security policies are taught to all staff members and are posted in our office space as a constant reminder to the importance of member security. Staff members understand the importance of working in a secure environment, one that teaches respect for the security of member data and information. Only senior management has the ability to view sensative user information. All data is secured via usernames and passwords.

Psybersquare reviews our privacy policy and security initiatives in order to keep up with the quickly improving level of security technology that is becoming increasingly available.

Surveys

Psybersquare may display optional surveys on our homepage. When completing a survey, please note that we are only capturing how you voted, not who you are, or where you are coming from. All surveys are completely optional.

Your role in protecting your privacy

If you share a terminal with others, you may want to consider establishing an anonymous e-mail account. In this way, e-mails that your receive from Psybersquare, which may reflect behavioral health issues of interest to you, cannot be linked to you. If you access Psybersquare.com through an e-mail account maintained by your employer, please note that it is possible that your employer may monitor your e-mail communications.

Opt-out procedures

You always may opt-out of receiving future mailings. Psybersquare provides you with the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us and our partners at the point where we request information about you. To remove your personally identifiable information from our database, to not receive future communications or to no longer receive our service, send e-mail to webmaster@psybersquare.com with the word "remove" in the subject line.

Notification of changes

This Privacy Statement may be revised over time as new features are added to the website or as Internet security and privacy standards evolve. We will post those changes prominently so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information and whether we will disclose it to anyone. If we change the way we use your Personally Identifiable Information we will notify you via email as soon as possible, and will then wait for your consent to proceed. We do, however, recommend that you read this Privacy Statement each time you use the Psybersquare site, in case you missed our notice of changes to the Privacy Statement.

Correcting and updating information

Psybersquare also permits you to correct or update personally identifiable information that you have previously provided to us. To do so, send an email to: webmaster@psybersquare.com indicating the information that you wish to be corrected or updated.

By using this site, you signify your acceptance of the terms of the Psybersquare Privacy Statement. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Statement, please do not use the Psybersquare site and exit the site immediately. Your continued use of the Psybersquare site following the posting of changes to these terms will mean that you accept those changes.

Communication

Psybersquare will contact users only when the user has signed up for specific Psybersquare services. Upon registration, Psybersquare will send you a confirmation/welcome email. If you signify during the registration process that you wish to receive informational updates from the site, Psybersquare will send you weekly chat reminders, as well as monthly content-based newsletters.
